MADE FOR THE SAFETY AND CONSIDERATION OF EVERYONE.
1)Frequency Control & Peg Board.
a)SAFETY FIRST
It is of the utmost importance that this Frequency Control and Peg Board System are strictly adhered to the letter.
b) Frequency control is by the ‘Peg On – Peg Off system.
c) You will be provided with a plastic and metal tag which amongst other things will have your name and frequency number marked on it
d) The peg board is marked with the frequencies available for flying. Note that there is no 67 and 76. (This exclusion is only applicable to LFMAC as there are neighbouring fliers who use these channels. The club has agreed to respect their right to have sole use of these channels). Also, on the side of the frequency control board is a removable peg bearing representative numbers / colours to the control board.
e) The principal behind the operation of the Peg Board system is that if your frequency is clear it will not have a plastic and metal tag associated with your frequency / colour on the control board, but will have the appropriate Peg clipped to the side of the control board. Firstly, take your ‘tag’ and place it on your corresponding channel number / colour on the control board. Then, remove the associated peg and place it on your transmitter aerial. But if your frequency is in use a tag will be on your channel number / colour relating to the person who is flying and there will be no associated peg on the side of the control board. You must now wait until the person has finished flying and removes his or her tag and replaces the Peg (remember aerial down in the pits)
f) At this point shout your channel number to make other site users aware that you intend to turn your transmitter on. If nothing to the contrary is heard it should be safe to turn on your transmitter followed by powering the model (never the other way).
g) At the end of the flight after landing, follow the normal safety rules and retrieve your model. Disarm the receiver in the model and then turn your transmitter off. Return to the control board and place the peg from your transmitter aerial in its appropriate place on the board and take you tag from your channel number / colour ready for the next person use. Shout that your channel is now clear.
h) Only club approved plastic and metal tags are to be used. Should you loose your tag a replacement one will be issued at a later date at a cost.
i)If you have not got your tags then you will not be allowed to fly.
j)All tags remain the property of Lea Fields MAC and must be returned to an officer of the club on demand.
